This is due to the fact that cutting dry doesn’t take into account changing dew point in the air. Hair (especially curly hair) absorbs moisture differently each day. Percentage of water absorption revolves around a few factors being: hair density, hair porosity, hair texture and any thermal or chemical treatments currently done to the hair. Humidity changes every day, so while a hair cut may look nice when cut in a dry humidity if that dew point is to change the curl pattern isnt going to fall the same. For this reason we cut not only dry, but combo cutting wet so we have a structural haircut that looks good curly and straight.
